Detailed Job Description
The Department of Biological Sciences at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Molecular and Cell Biology beginning in August 2012.
The position will require teaching graduate-level lecture and laboratory courses in the Department of Biological Sciences Molecular and Cell Biology Master's Program. Additional responsibilities will include supervising graduate student thesis research projects, and advising graduate students in the Molecular and Cell Biology Master's Program. A proven record of excellence in teaching in university-level lectures and laboratories is strongly preferred. All faculty at Quinnipiac University are expected to periodically teach in the University Seminar series. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and sustain a recognized research program within their area of expertise; maintain the highest standards of excellence in teaching; and demonstrate active contributions to committees or contributions to the Department, College and University.
Required Minimum Qualifications
A PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology or closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
