Detailed Job Description

The Department of Biological Sciences at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure line Assistant Professor in Human Anatomy & Physiology beginning in August 2012. The successful candidate will also fill the position of Director of the Graduate Molecular and Cell Biology Program.

Job Duties

Laboratories include a detailed study of human anatomy utilizing both cat (and human) cadaveric dissection. The successful candidate will also direct the Graduate Molecular and Cell Biology Program. A proven record of excellence in Directing a Graduate Masters degree program is required. In addition, the candidate must have experience in grant writing, curriculum development, program evaluation, dealing with a diverse student population (including international students) and experience networking with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and bioscience companies in the state of Connecticut. All faculty at Quinnipiac University are expected to periodically teach in the University Seminar series.

Required Minimum Qualifications

The minimum credentials are a PhD in Physiology or a Physiology-related discipline. A proven record of excellence in teaching in university-level laboratories in human anatomy and physiology is required.
