Detailed Job Description
Provide consultation and training to faculty members on designing and developing face-to-face, online & hybrid courses; provide one-on-one consultation, group training and support to faculty on Blackboard and Sakai Learning Management Systems and ePortfolio system; provide training and support for lecture capturing tools (Camtasia, Captivate) and video/audio production tools (iMovie, Adobe Premiere, SoundForge); design and develop interactive learning objects and simulations (both independently and collaborating with the media team) using Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver; research, evaluate and recommend instructional technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
Master's degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Instructional Technology or Instructional Design; two years of instructional design and development work experience in a higher education environment which must have included: 2 years of experience consulting with faculty on designing and developing face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses, providing one-on-one and group training on instructional technologies, using two or more Learning Management Systems, using lecture capturing systems (Captivate or Camtasia), using Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks and Dreamweaver, using video/audio production tools (iMovie or Adobe Premiere, SoundForge) ; 1 year of experience developing 3D simulations; 6 months of experience using and supporting ePortfolio systems. Experience can be gained concurrently or at any time.
