Detailed Job Description
Work closely with the FSB Director of Professional Development and Career Education to develop and execute programs that help FSB students thoughtfully consider, prepare for, and seek out post-graduation career options.
Work with the Office of Career Services to coordinate programs for and communicate job/internship opportunities available to business students; assist with employer relations outreach programs to increase the number and quality of employers and job/internship opportunities available to business students; prepare and maintain pertinent records and reports associated with assigned responsibilities; complete surveys and other assessment instruments related to student placement; collaborate with university and FSB departments, faculty, and student organizations; work some evenings and/or weekends as needed with occasional overnight travel; participate in appropriate professional development activities; perform other duties as assigned.
For appointment as Assistant Director: Bachelor's degree; at least three years of full-time work experience.
For appointment as Associate Director: Master's degree; at least five years of full-time work experience.
For either: Superior interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite software and internet applications; ability to work effectively with variety of stakeholders in different contexts, including potential employers, faculty, staff, alumni, and current employers.
Significant experience related to professional development and career education, particularly within business schools as well as student advising / counseling at a college or university level.
