Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a 9-month tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor in the School of Social Work, beginning August 2015. The School, located within the College for Public Health and Social Justice, is noted for its commitment to students, strong practice orientation, exemplary scholarship, and is guided by a vision of social justice. The School of Social Work has three programs related to Applied Behavior Analysis: A Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis, an Applied Behavior Analysis post-graduate certificate, and a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Candidates should possess a doctorate in social work, psychology (experimental or clinical), special education, or a closely related field. The applicant must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), as well as have expertise in autism and school-based interventions. Strong research and teaching skills related to Applied Behavior Analysis content are required. A record of publications and the ability to obtain external funding is desired. The successful applicant will be expected to engage in research and other scholarly activities; pursue external grants; provide service to the school, university, and community; and participate in student advisement.
