MICROCOMPUTER SPECIALIST - JOB #2207
The Microcomputer Specialist position is a full-time professional position. The successful candidate will provide hardware and software support throughout the college district. The equipment to be serviced includes over 3,000 workstations with Windows and Mac OS, classroom technology support, mobile devices, printers, and other peripheral technology. The support service will include computer and peripheral installation, repair and maintenance, network connectivity, diagnose and repair Dell desktops and laptop computers and all brands of printers, and basic application troubleshooting. This position reports to Microcomputer Support Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree, four years’ experience supporting networked microcomputers in a large enterprise computing environment. Progressively responsible experience in supporting microcomputers may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. The successful results of criminal background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer experience with Apple OS computing platforms; verifiable experience providing field support in an environment servicing 500+ computers in an enterprise networked environment; and A+ certification.
SALARY RANGE: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the college does not generally hire at the top of the range.)
