Creates core content for assigned classes, manages and participates in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students. Participates collaboratively and professionally to promote the department, college, and collective and individual interest of the staff and students. Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a doctorate degree in a related field to the coursework being taught or master’s degree plus two years of experience in a related discipline. Demonstrated successful teaching at the college or university level is required.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Ph.D. and experience and expertise in Biotechnology/laboratory Biology or related field. Experience in Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, Mammalian Cell Culture Techniques, Molecular Biology &/or Genetics preferred.
Knowledge of theory and practice of biotechnology (including Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and/or Genetics) and the research methods of these fields.
Skill in the instruction of lectures and laboratory exercises.
Ability to develop curriculum and teach and design courses.
Ability to develop and maintain effective educational partnerships at the campus, local, state, and national levels.
Ability to communicate in written and verbal form with various students, faculty, and others.
Ability to supervise students an support staff.
