The Department of Political Science at Boise State University invites applications for a full time, tenure track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR position in American Government and Politics, with a specific focus on political behavior.  The department is particularly interested in hiring the best candidate that specializes in any (or some combination) of the following: campaigns and elections, voting behavior, public opinion, and political psychology. An ability to teach upper-division research methods course is also desired.  A successful candidate will be expected to have an active research agenda and the ability to teach upper division undergraduate students.  There will also be the opportunity to teach graduate students in the Public Policy and Administration PhD and/or MPA programs and potentially in a Masters in Political Science program currently awaiting state board approval.  The Department of Political Science is committed to promoting faculty research and is strongly committed to increasing faculty diversity.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in political science by July 1, 2015.  ABD will be considered.
