The LEC Administrative Assistant will provide support for LEC services and the LEC Director, including assisting with scheduling and coordination of LEC tutoring, scheduling and coordinating academic skills workshops, overseeing front-desk operations, and tracking and reporting LEC performance data.
Coordinate front desk operations for the LEC. Establish professional rapport with LEC users and staff. Guide students to appropriate services. Supervise office reception area, performing clerical functions and overseeing student workers. Make recommendations regarding hiring, dismissals, performance evaluations, training, etc. of hired work study students. Oversee LEC resources and office equipment.
Assist LEC Director in hiring, coordinating, training, and supervising LEC tutors. Prepare and manage tutoring schedules, handling scheduling problems based on knowledge of program requirements and staff.
Coordinate LEC academic skills workshops, including collaboration with other on-campus offices. Provide administrative support and handle logistical arrangements for workshops and other LEC events. Coordinate staffing for LEC workshops and events.
Serve as office administrator. Assist in data collection, tracking, and reporting. Assist with budget analysis and reports, including tracking invoices, vouchers, requisitions, and purchase orders. Coordinate acquisitions processes and act as liaison with purchase office and vendors, contract services, catering, and retail.
Perform other duties as assigned by Director or Assistance Director.
High school degree; some administrative/clerical experience.
Earned B.S./B.A.; administrative/clerical experience in a higher-education environment; familiarity with college-level academic support services.
