Installs and maintains software applications, hardware and operating systems for servers, Lab computers and related components. Enforces technical operating procedures and solves technical issues to ensure availability, reliability, stability and scalability of systems performance.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling four years.
Knowledge in working in a customer service, team-oriented, collaborative environment, highly self motivated with the ability to learn quickly
Knowledge of various computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, data base, power point, internet tools, email systems, performance monitoring tools, and other general computer skills
Knowledge in customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communications
Knowledge of Active Directory, and LDAP
Knowledge of PXE, Multicast and Unicast.
Knowledge of VMWare products
Knowledge of Database and Database language, such as SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
Skill in TCP/IP and application network protocols, firewall management, operating system configuration, anti-virus software, relational database(s), PC/Mac Hardware.
Skill in at least 4 of the following: Linux, Mac OS, Window OS,PowerShell, SCCM, Server 2012, AD
Skill in troubleshooting.
Skill in building Windows OS images, deploying and installing Windows OS.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly manner.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems and researching technical issues
Ability to maintain systems hardware and software.
Ability to maintain a positive and professional relationship with faculty, staff and students, and provide exceptional customer service.
An individual who meets at least one of the following criteria may apply for this position as an in-house applicant:
-Adjunct faculty status for at least two full semesters immediately prior to the position’s opening date, OR
-Non-Student Part-time hourly employee hired through the official University screening process, or informal hiring process employed a minimum of 12 consecutive months, working at least an average of 20 hours per week, immediately prior to the position’s opening date, OR
-Salaried employee employed a minimum of 6 consecutive months, working at least an average of 40 hours per week, immediately prior to the position’s opening date.
