Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology to begin fall 2015. Subareas of interest are advanced methodology and urban-community development. The successful candidate will have expertise in advance quantitative methodology and a willingness to teach a M.A. and Ph. D. courses in the following areas: advanced quantitative methodology, community development or program evaluation. The preferred candidate should have skills across multiple methodological techniques and a policy orientation. Position responsibilities include conducting and publishing research, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and helping to build a dynamic graduate program. A Ph.D. is required at the time of the appointment. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is interdisciplinary with 16 full-time faculty members, 130 undergraduate majors, 35 graduate students and is a thriving part of an urban doctoral/research extensive university.
