California State University, San Marcos, expects to hire a tenure-track assistant professor for Fall 2015, in the field of Clinical Psychology. We are looking for psychologists with a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical training program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling psychology from an APA-accredited clinical training program prior to date of appointment and evidence of the ability to establish and maintain an active and productive research program that will involve students. Only candidates with active research programs will be considered. Applicants must have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and interest in supervising Masters theses.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of effective teaching at the university level, evidence of research productivity, and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated intercultural competence with diverse groups in teaching, research and/or service.
DUTIES: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses, primarily in clinical-psychology-related areas, and will also supervise Master’s theses, involve graduate and undergraduate students in an active research program, and participate in activities serving the department, college, university, and community. We are particularly interested in applicants whose research areas complement and expand upon our current tenure-track faculty offerings, as well as those whose work will take advantage of our ethnically diverse region. We welcome applicants with interests in interdisciplinary work.
