Detailed Job Description

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the production and design of college marketing communication materials from concept to completion. In addition, the Graphic Designer uses standard design principles and techniques for a variety of projects. The Graphic Designer combines editorial and visual elements for printed and digital media that will produce results that communicate effectively with the public and meet the strategic vision and marketing goals of the college.  

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field required.

Minimum of three years of professional experience in all aspects of the graphic design field with in-depth knowledge of electronic media, the printing process, typography, photography and all associated processes required.

Professional level knowledge and skill in the use and production of typography and design standards.

Experience with preparing files for final, high-resolution output by in-house or external vendors.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to meet tight deadlines, organize, prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of digital design, file types for web and website design including electronic publishing.

Knowledge of Mac computers and peripherals as well as troubleshooting both Mac computers and PC issues.

Software proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Outlook.

Working knowledge of Adobe video software and electronic publishing. Knowledge of production of indoor/outdoor signage and imprint items.
