Detailed Job Description

Under the direction of the Assistant Director and Disbursement Supervisor, assists in all phases of the administrative daily operations of the Business Services department in Student Accounts. Performs daily account reconciliations and provides assistance to students, departmental personnel, and the general public. Develops training opportunities, process student documents, issues refunds along with processing reports and various other student account matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree plus one year of experience or a combination of post secondary education and experience equal to three years.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Student Banner.


Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures/monies control and security.
Knowledge of federal regulations in refunding and disbursement of aid.


Skill in the use of computers and computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, and operating systems.
Skill in training and supervision.
Skill in interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making.


Ability to work independently as well as with students, departmental personnel and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work well under pressure and to organize daily work load.

Pay Range

$25,665 to $32,082 annually

An individual who meets at least one of the following criteria may apply for this position as an in-house applicant:

-Adjunct faculty status for at least two full semesters immediately prior to the position’s opening date, OR

-Non-Student Part-time hourly employee hired through the official University screening process, or informal hiring process employed a minimum of 6 consecutive months, working at least an average of 20 hours per week, immediately prior to the position’s opening date, OR

-Salaried employee employed a minimum of 6 consecutive months, working at least an average of 30 hours per week, immediately prior to the position’s opening date.
