PART-TIME DEVELOPMENTAL WRITING INSTRUCTORS: (Department of Academic Preparation) (DCE MCCC/MTA Unit Position) (Fall, 2014 Semester) Anticipated Start Date: September, 2014

Teach day and/or evening Introduction to Basic Writing or Basic Writing courses in the Department of Academic Preparation.  Classes may be held on the Haverhill or Lawrence campus of Northern Essex Community College.

  • Master’s degree in English or a related field required with prior experience teaching writing at the college level.
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience using technology in instruction.


  • Experience teaching at the community college level.

Salary: $920.00 per credit hour for Step I. For step 2 and higher, commensurate increase in salary.
