Detailed Job Description

Under the Director of Development Events & Communications, assists with the planning and coordinating of events for fundraising, donor stewardship, alumni relations, and presidential support. Assists with the preparation of guest and sponsor lists, record keeping, financial reporting, vendor communications, copy-writing, and other event support duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an bachelor’s degree or higher in event management/communications/public relations or a related field OR any combination of education and experience totaling 4 years.

Valid driver’s license required.

Knowledge

Knowledge of event planning and management best practices.
Knowledge of marketing and public relations best practices.
Knowledge and expertise in use of English grammar, punctuation, and syntax for both written and verbal communications.

Skills

Skill in verbal and interpersonal communication.
Skill in office productivity software including MS Office programs, online resources, web, and social networking.
Skill in project management.
Skill in technical writing and editing.
Skill in organization and attention to detail.

Pay Range

$13.01 to $16.26 per hour
