Designs, prepares, and teaches courses and delivers content in a meaningful and engaging method with measurable course objectives. Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms through demonstration, discussion, experiential learning, and visual aids. Evaluates instruction and learning by means of written, verbal, practical, and performance tests. Maintains a student-oriented approach to education. Advises students during office hours or at other times as needed.
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a doctorate degree in a related field to the coursework being taught or master’s degree plus two years of experience in a related discipline. Demonstrated successful teaching at the college or university level is required.
PhD in Psychology, extensive experience teaching psychology undergraduates as well as promoting student retention and success.
Knowledge of subject matter and course content.
Skill in effective instructional strategies and techniques.
Effective interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to manage, motivate, and evaluate students and instruction.
Ability to communicate effectively.
