Detailed Job Description

Under the direction of the Director for Benefits and Compensation, assists in maintaining the organization of the Benefits Office. The position also provides moderately complex and confidential administrative support such as maintaining records, scheduling appointments, composing routine correspondence and obtaining/providing factual information requiring knowledge of policies and procedures of both assigned and work related areas.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

Two years paid office experience related to the summary of duties.

Knowledge

Knowledge of benefit definitions and terms. Knowledge of office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.

Skills

Skill in the use of computers and computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook email. Skill in organization, database management and coordination. Skill in balancing and reconciling accounts. Skill in gathering data, compiling information and preparing reports.

Abilities

Ability to interact with a diverse employee population in a professional manner and to communicate complex information verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations. Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision. Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports. Ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions.

Pay Range

$10.54 to $12.00 per hour
