Under the direction of the Director of Marketing of Community and Continuing Education (CCE), designs and creates printed and electronic materials for departmental programs. Designs and produces professional illustrations and layouts for use in publications. Assists with production of collateral materials for special events and conferences, including displays, signs, programs, posters, and exhibit materials, as needed as well as imagery for websites and various social mediums.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and one year experience related to Class Definition or an associate’s degree with three years experience or any combination of education and experience totaling five years.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus one year of experience OR a combination of education and experience in the creative arts/graphic design/printing industries with an emphasis in current digital technologies and traditional methodologies totaling five years.
Possesses knowledge and experience of traditional and digital printing processes using publishing software, including Adobe CS6 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Word and Powerpoint).
Knowledge of Web technologies and functions (links, navigation, cross-marketing processes and design methods) required for interaction with web programmer and marketing analyst in producing files for Web posting and other electronic outreach methods, including social media and email blasts.
Skill in scanning, image editing, photographic manipulation, and color correction.
Skill typesetting using proper grammar and spelling.
Skill proofreading, font selection, and creating project templates.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Demonstrates interpersonal skill when interacting with colleagues, superiors and outside vendors.
Ability to communicate professionally.
Ability to prioritize work schedules to meet deadlines and flexibility with ever-changing priorities as requested by supervisor.
Ability to deliver projects on time within deadlines.
