Provides student account and customer service support for the Bursar’s Office. Works at the Bursar Office window to assist students, public, and campus employees with payments, account issues, and questions.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a closely related field and one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and/or experience as described above totaling three years.
Knowledge of basic accounting, monies control, and security.
Knowledge of confidentiality and right to privacy.
Skill in interpersonal communication.
Skill in customer service.
Skill in the use of computers and computer applications including spreadsheet, database, and word processing, etc.
Ability to follow directions and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work accurately with names, numbers, codes and / or symbols.
Ability to operate standard office equipment (i.e., fax machine, copy machine, multiple phone lines, ten key, etc.).
Ability to work with the public and work effectively under pressure.
Ability to perform required tasks with precision and accuracy and must be detail oriented.
Extended hours and restricted time off during deadlines.
