Teaches a range of courses that may include lighting, grip/electric, cinematography, editing, motion graphics, visual effects, story structure, pre-production planning, production management, set operations and directing scripted and unscripted media productions.
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a field related to filmmaking, editing, writing and pre-production planning for media productions. Strong, diverse portfolio. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Willingness to learn and/or have experience in the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid and/or distance learning classes, and /or as a supplement
Knowledge and skills in a variety of computer usage and software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a media related field. College level teaching experience. Affiliation with related professional organizations. Candidate must be enthusiastic about teaching and working with students, able not only to demonstrate skills, but to work collaboratively with other faculty and students to achieve student success.
Experience and knowledge of set and production etiquette, time management, and asset management skills are desired.

This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Part-time faculty are compensated at a rate of $811 per Equated Semester Unit (i.e., approximately $2433 for a 3 credit hour course).
Adjunct faculty positions are ongoing pooled positions. Therefore, your materials will remain on file and be reviewed on an as needed basis for adjunct faculty positions throughout the academic year 2012-2013 (Fall, Spring and Summer Semester).
