Teaches a full range of courses in early care and education, child development, working with families, communication and program solving, curriculum, anti-bias approaches, inclusion of children with special needs and administration/supervision.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in early childhood education, child development, human development with specialization in child development/early childhhod education. Master’s degree in related area (early childhood education, elementary education, child development, human development, family life studies, or psychology). Minimum of four years teaching experience with children under five years of age.
Knowledge of and commitment to constructivist, family centered and anti-bias approaches to early childhood education incuding practical and theoretical understanding of children, curriculum and profession.

This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Part-time faculty are compensated at a rate of $811 per Equated Semester Unit (i.e., approximately $2433 for a 3 credit hour course).
Adjunct faculty positions are ongoing pooled positions. Therefore, your materials will remain on file and be reviewed on an as needed basis for adjunct faculty positions throughout the academic year 2012-2013 (Fall, Spring and Summer Semester).
