The University of Mary Hardin Baylor’s College of Business seeks Assistant / Associate Professor for its Department of Accounting, Economics, & Finance beginning in August of 2012. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.
The Accounting, Economics, & Finance Department in the College of Business offers 5 undergraduate degree programs which includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Economics and Finance, Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Economics. The Department also offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
Faculty Responsibilities: Activities required of all faculty include exemplary teaching, curriculum development and student advising; professional attainment; and service to department, college, university, and the community. While primarily a teaching institution, UMHB recognizes and rewards research, publication, and other forms of scholarly attainment.
Specific Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance and related subjects. Full-time faculty members typically teach 12 hours per semester with three course preparations.
Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Finance or related field. Master’s Degree in the teaching field will be considered. Tenure track requires terminal degree in hand. Excellent teaching and communication skills, a dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential. Must be active, committed Christian.
