Job Responsibilities


Design, write and maintain databases, financial reports using Excel, MS Access and Evisions-Argos.
Transition of existing finance reports to the College’s new reporting system (Evisions Argos).
Performs complex financial analysis and reporting using Banner, Evisions-Argos, MS Access and MS Excel.
Finance lead for the new reporting system.
Development of feasibility studies, designing business process improvements, improving forecasting and cash flow with the College’s new reporting system.
Write documentation of operational procedures.
Participate in the College’s OII team to develop data governance and data usage standards to include best practices for maintaining the College’s BI environment. This includes preparing and delivering training on Microsoft Access, Excel and Evisions Argos.
Expected to anticipate and meet all customer needs accurately, professionally, timely and with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Manage priorities, facilitate business and technical meetings with the ability to re-engineer business processes.
Collaborate with executives, professional and support staff to execute the College’s goal for more efficient business operations
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science or other technical Business discipline.
Three to five years of experience with large, enterprise-wide financial software systems including systems implementation and systems modification.
Experience analyzing, solving and implementing solutions to existing problems.

An understanding of business and finance operations with the ability to create, automate and analyze finance reports using the College’s new reporting system.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint and desire to learn new desktop tools, including Banner Operational Data Store, Enterprise Data Warehouse and Evisions Argos.
Strong relational database skills.
Ability to identify process and system inefficiencies and determine new or alternative ways to improve the quality and communication of financial information college-wide.
Highly organized, with focus on creating, implementing and maintaining new processes.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

(Or equivalent job-related experience providing the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform the functions of this position proficiently)

Experience with SQL, Visual Basic, Banner ODS, EDW and Evisions Argos.
Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
Extensive experience in financial closings, budget monitoring, accounts receivable tracking, accounts payable tracking, bank statement reconciliation, payroll and timesheet analysis and cash flow analysis.
Experience re-engineering and documenting software applications.
Direct experience providing strategic analysis for higher education organizations including financial sales, resource allocation and compensation analysis and reporting.

Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with College management and employees at all levels.

Work Schedule

Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hours will vary based on business unit need.
