FULL-TIME AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN: SYSTEM ANALYST I: (Internal Posting) (Haverhill Campus and Lawrence Campus) (37.5 hours per week) (Division of Information Technology Network Operations Center & Client Services) (AFSCME Unit Position)
This position will provide assistance to faculty, students and staff in the areas of educational/audiovisual technology and processes. The position assumes responsibility for setting up, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining instructional technology and content-delivery systems throughout the school's instructional facilities. A flexible schedule is required for this position. Travel between campuses, weekend hours, holiday hours and/or various start and end times may apply depending on service demands. The position will handle audio/video recording of curricular or non-curricular activities, and assist in preventative maintenance of the equipment.
Additionally this position will be responsible for:
Setting up, operating, maintaining and repairing equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, video conferencing, and lighting and sound mixing equipment.
May be required to record meetings and presentations with video cameras, operate spotlights, adjust amplifiers, coordinate graphics used in displays and provide technical support for teleconferences, webinars and distance-learning classes and edit, copy and store videotapes and DVDs, track inventory of equipment and order supplies.
Manage the delivery and setup of AV equipment for scheduled events.
Will be required to backfill the IT Client Services (Break/Fix) Department when time and priorities allow.
Must have at least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience with audiovisual, instructional and computer technology, including the latest systems. An Associate's or higher degree with a major in electronics or electrical engineering may be substituted for the required experience, or combination of applicable education/experience. The individual should also possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and PC/Mac operating systems. Must be able to move various equipment and able to lift 50lbs.
Salary: $906.14-$1287.62 per week (47,119.28-$66,956.24) annually with fringe benefits. An appointment from outside the bargaining unit (AFSCME) must start at Step I of the range. (Step 1: $906.14)
