The Social Work Department at Westfield State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning in September 2014. The Department offers a BSW degree and an MSW program that prepares students for clinical practice with a focus on children and families. We're seeking a colleague who is a team player, has an interest in teaching across more than one curriculum area, and is willing to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses.  We are looking for a person with a strong macro/policy background or interests in substance abuse, aging, or clinical practice with children and families. 

The department has a diverse faculty with wide-ranging research interests and is located in scenic Western Massachusetts, an area known for its many colleges and universities and its vibrant communities.

 An MSW degree and two years post-MSW practice experience is required, a PhD is strongly preferred, and ABD candidates who are within one year of completing their PhD degree will be considered.
