Detailed Job Description
The Senior Operations & Records Assistant offers support to multiple areas within the Financial Assistance Office, Operations, Graduate Financial Aid, Student Employment, and the Reception area.
Additional Description of Duties:
To assist with operational needs, the Sr. Operations & Records Assistant will run daily financial aid processes, including: inputting (tracking) financial aid documents; sending out daily "missing information" letters; performing data clean up; managing the appeal database; supporting the reporting function; creating, manipulating and running population selections; and managing all document imaging scanning activities in ImageNow system.
To assist with the functions relating to Grad/Student Employment (SE), the Sr. Operations & Records Assistant will process Grad/SE forms, collect required Grad/SE documents, follow up on missing documents, handle graduate student inquiries and other inquiries concerning student employment from both students and hiring supervisors. He/she will provide training for on-line SE processes when necessary.
The Sr. Operations & Records Assistant will provide back-up and coverage for the full-time receptionist and manage student employees in her absence.
Additionally, the Sr. Operations & Records Assistant will assist with special projects as assigned by supervisors.
High School diploma required plus minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, office environment doing data input and basic reporting. Must have good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Products. Must also have excellent phone and customer service skills.
