Detailed Job Description
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Quinnipiac University seeks candidates for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of the assistant professor in interactive digital design.
In addition to the primary responsibilities of contributing to the interactive digital design program, candidates may be called upon to teach in the university's core seminar series on "The Individual in the Community," "Our National Community," and "The Global Community." Our department values excellent teaching, active scholarship, and service to the university and community.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a terminal degree (MFA), teaching experience at the college level and a strong portfolio that reflects a high degree of knowledge in graphic design, web design and mobile interaction design. Additional requirements include fluency with industry standard software and current web standards. Experience with motion graphics, gestural interfaces, or other facets of design research will present an advantage.
