Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a Research Associate in the department of Internal Medicine - Nephrology that is being offered to study in vivo models of kidney development, repair and regeneration. Special emphasis is placed on use of genetically engineered mouse models to define molecular mechanisms of kidney birth defects and the role of developmental pathways in the response to injury of the mature kidney. Candidates should possess a PhD and significant experience working with complex genetically altered mouse models, facility with microdissection and confocal imaging of embryonic tissues, isolation of renal progenitor cells using FACS, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays, and the ability to independently analyze genomewide transcriptional profiling data sets.
