Lewis University invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean in the School of Professional and Continuing Education to act as the lead operational officer of the School. The Assistant Dean will oversee faculty recruitment and faculty-student relations and also provide leadership in faculty development activities. As the School's lead operational officer, the Assistant Dean supervises School personnel and the day to day operations of the School, with an emphasis on service excellence. The Assistant Dean will also participate in the university budget planning process and monitor the School for Professional and Continuing Education's budget.
The Assistant Dean is responsible for working with faculty, staff and the University community to achieve the Schools goals and to build and sustain strong collaborative relationships throughout the University. A key responsibility will be the development of innovative professional continuing educational experiences such as badges, certificates, etc. in collaboration with the Colleges where appropriate as well as a supportive infrastructure to ensure successful implementation.
