Creates, manages and participates in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students. Participates collaboratively and professionally to promote the department, college, and collective and individual interests of the staff and students. Supports ways to fulfill the guiding concepts of the university.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a terminal degree in a discipline directly related to the coursework being taught. Demonstrated successful teaching at the college or university level is required.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Ph.D.,and experience and expertise in Biotechnology /laboratory Biology or related field.
Experience in Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology &/or Genetics preferred.
Knowledge of theory and practice of biotechnology (including Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology and/or Genetics) and the research methods of those fields.
Skill in the instruction of lectures and laboratory exercises.
Ability to develop curriculum and teach design courses.
Ability to develop and maintain effective educational partnerships at the campus, local, state and national levels.
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) with various students, faculty, and others.
Ability to supervise students and support staff.
