Description of Duties:
The Associate Director (AD) of Marketing Programs provides marketing services primarily to support the undergraduate student recruitment function. The AD, Marketing Programs works with the Director of Marketing Programs to develop and execute new marketing initiatives, and supports existing marketing programs to ensure consistency in messaging and branding. The AD, Marketing Programs manages marketing communications that are produced internally, including publications, email and direct mail campaigns, and web content. The AD, Marketing Programs provides strategic and creative direction for undergraduate marketing programs, using marketing analytics and market research to monitor program success.
Additional Description of Duties:
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing Programs and with department colleagues, implement and manage marketing projects using Basecamp or a similar software, including concept development, coordination of communication materials, electronic publications, results reporting, writing/editing, and web site monitoring.
Working closely with the Undergraduate Admission marketing team, proactively recommend marketing initiatives to enhance the quantity and quality of student prospects, applicants, and matriculants.
Digital Content Marketing:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement multi-channel marketing strategies and services including email, content, video, creative, copy, web, social media, and printed communications.
Supervise the work of the University's advertising agency and other partners to produce work in a variety of media that helps the university meet its student recruitment goals.
Research and Analysis:
Monitor response data from agency advertising, website traffic, and direct response campaigns.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism or similar field, plus three to five years of related work experience. Master's degree preferred.
Strong communication skills, especially writing and editing; familiarity with the evolving social media world, good practices for website development and SEO(search engine optimization)/SEM(search engine marketing).
Familiarity with design and publication production processes; ability to work collegially with a broad range of on-campus clients and off-campus vendors.
Significant experience delivering content in multiple formats, including social media, web, traditional media, multimedia and other emerging communication platforms.
Experience with HTML, website content management tools, and Photoshop a plus.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Team player with strong organization skills and ability to work independently.
