Faculty Position in Education
The Department of Education in the School of Arts and Sciences at The Catholic University of America, located in Washington, DC, is seeking a candidate for a tenure-track faculty position in Education at the assistant professor level. The candidate must hold an earned doctorate in education, with background in special education and literacy, and be able to provide evidence of research promise.
Responsibilities include:
• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in special education, literacy, and/or assessment
• Advise students, supervise field placements, and serve on Departmental committees
• Conduct and direct research in one’s area of specialization
Preference will be given to candidates who have pre-K to grade 12 teaching experience, and have taught exceptional learners from culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Prior teaching experience in Catholic schools is also desirable. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. The appointment is effective at the beginning of the fall 2012 semester.
