The Executive Director of Institutional Advancement & Foundation is responsible for providing innovative leadership and direction for the staffs of the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Office of Sponsored Programs to foster momentum for and expansion of private and public sector resource development for Anne Arundel Community College. In addition, the Executive Director is responsible for the administration of external resource development and for serving as the Executive Director of the College Foundation.
Bachelor's degree from regionally accredited institution required
Minimum of ten years experience in private and public resource development, with at least five years of senior level management in resource development at an institution of higher learning; experience at the community college level strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of public and private funding sources and a successful track record of major gift funding.
Ability to oversee grant development and successful procurement of competitive grants from state, federal and private sources required.
Evidence of a strong organizational, analytical and managerial skills.
Demonstrated experience with collaborative and team experiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software and Internet search techniques required; strong analytical skills preferred.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to establish rapport with and to articulate the mission and needs of the college to corporate, business, governmental, educational and community leadership.
Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college.
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with faculty, administrators, staff, governmental agencies, sponsored programs personnel, funding institutions and the public.
