Detailed Job Description

This position participates in recruiting and enrolling new students to the university with a focus on transfer students. The chief purpose of this position is to promote and market the institution as well as enroll entering classes for January and September admission by providing advice and information to various external constituencies. Responsibilities include completing transfer/advanced standing credits evaluations, rendering decisions on admission applications, interviewing students, traveling to target areas to recruit students, organizing events and participating in other marketing development activities (i.e. web content targeted for transfers, communication sequence, etc.).  

Additional Description of Duties:

Complete Transfer Credit Evaluations for prospective students by assessing course descriptions/content from US and international institutions to determine eligibility for transfer credit. In addition, determine advanced standing credit for incoming freshmen and disseminate information to prospective students in a timely manner.

Manage files of assigned domestic and international transfer applicants including completing, reviewing and rendering decisions for September enrollment as well as the freshman and transfer January class.

Coordinate on-campus transfer recruitment and yield events (i.e. information sessions) as well as participate in admission events both on and off campus including, but not limited to interviews and open houses.

Participate in the development and execution of the transfer recruit and yield strategy by researching trends and exploring new opportunities that can positively impact recruit and yield activities for each incoming class. This would include on-going review and editing of web content and communication sequence content.  

Position Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of admissions or related experience. Preference will be given to those with transfer admission experience. Knowledge of various student information systems/databases a plus.  

License(s) Required for the Position

Valid driver's license and approval by Bentley to travel on university business.
