The Department of Sociology, College of Arts and Sciences, invites applications for an opening for a one-year appointment in its Criminal Justice program, beginning in Fall 2014.

The candidate will be required to teach Criminal Justice Research Methods, Race, Crime and Justice, Introduction to Sociology and elective courses within the Criminal Justice program or Department of Sociology.  The teaching load is 3 courses per semester.  Candidates may also provide academic advising to Criminal Justice students and perform other departmental administrative tasks, as assigned by the chairperson.

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

The candidate should be ABD or have a PhD in Sociology, Criminology, or Criminal Justice by the time of appointment.  All candidates must provide evidence of a strong record of effective teaching.
