Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 12 month position. Salary is highly competitive.
Quinnipiac is an NCAA Division I institution that competes in the MAAC Conference and ECAC in hockey. Quinnipiac sponsors 21 NCAA Division I sports. Women’s sports are: Acrobatics & Tumbling, Basketball, Cross-Country, Field Hockey, Golf, Ice Hockey (ECAC), Lacrosse, Rugby, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track (indoor/outdoor), and Volleyball. The Athletic Trainer will be expected to travel with a team in 2 of the 3 NCAA championship season and will be responsible for coverage of practices and home events in their non-travel season.
The position will have moderate administrative responsibilities and be expected to participate in Athletic Department functions.
Moreover, this position will be expected to serve as an Approved Clinical Instructor for our Athletic Training Education Program, class or laboratory instructor, and aid in maintaining CAATE accreditation.
Required qualifications include master’s degree, 2 years of clinical experience, current NATABOC Athletic Training Certification and eligibility for licensure within the state of Connecticut. Candidates with teaching experience in a CAATE accredited program and instructional experience with First Aid or certified to teach CPR would be highly desirable
