Responsible for the management of the Reading Center in the evenings. Provide ongoing tutoring to students in developmental-reading courses. Assist faculty and other staff with Reading Center activities and services. Maintain records. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Experience tutoring students in reading and demonstrated familiarity with reading strategies and study skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Sensitivity to the needs of non-traditional, multi-cultural, and/or educationally disadvantaged students. Ability to work independently. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and educational software applications. Flexibility in scheduling required. Familiarity with online learning environments preferred.
Salary: $25.50 per hour
