Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit, institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applications for a non-tenure, one-year replacement position in Graphic Design, August 2014 thru May 2015. The Studio Art program is NASAD accredited program within the Department of Fine and Performing Arts in the College of Arts and Sciences.
The candidate will teach all levels of undergraduate Graphic Design, including typography, introductory Web Design, and studio foundations (2D Design); mentor students emphasizing in graphic design as they pursue their BA major; oversee digital lab; design materials related to exhibitions; supervise internships; participate in Departmental and Programmatic committees/meetings, work collaboratively with fine arts colleagues as well as the Department of Communication on an interdisciplinary Visual Communication minor.
MFA in Graphic Design is expected, active experience as a graphic design professional necessary, and teaching beyond graduate school preferred. Proven ability to teach all undergraduate levels and skillful proficiencies in Adobe Creative Suite should be evidenced in applicant's personal and/or student work samples.
