Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service offers a 12 month tenure-track faculty position at the Research Associate level in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology in the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. The Department has active research programs in molecular virology, viral pathogenesis, vectors, anti-viral drug therapy, biodefense, autoimmunity (TRegs), tumor immunotherapy, cytokine function, osteoimmunology, and vaccine development http://medschool.slu.edu/mmi/. We seek to expand our expertise in viral pathogenesis and viral immunology, especially with RNA viruses. The candidate must have a Ph.D, M.D./Ph.D, or M.D. degree as well as post-doctoral experience. Candidates will be expected to develop and maintain a strong externally-funded research program and to train graduate students. Laboratory space including BSL-3 and A-BSL-3 laboratories in the state-of-the-art Doisy Research Center will be available along with competitive start-up and salary packages.
