Responsibilities


The candidate hired would be expected to teach EES 40 (Geology and the Earth) – in the fall semester (1 lecture section & 2 lab sections), EES 92 (Intro to Env Sci) – in the fall semester (1 lecture section & 1 lab section) and EES 50 (Earth and Life Through Time) - in the spring semester (2 lecture sections & 3 lab sections). 


Experience and Qualifications:


We seek a Ph.D. teacher/researcher with significant experience in physical geology (igneous petrology, volcanism, etc.), historical geology and Environmental Science (quantitative energy analysis, global climate change from a sustainability perspective, etc.).

The candidate should be knowledgeable of current environmental research and standards. 

The candidate must be able to help our students understand the science supporting currently accepted hypotheses of our global environmental problems.
