Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, healthcare, and service invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant to Associate Professor Position for its expanding programs in Global Health at the College for Public Health & Social Justice. The Saint Louis University College for Public Health & Social Justice is the only accredited school of public health in a Jesuit, Catholic university in the U.S., and is committed to social justice, excellence in education, community engagement, and research that leads to improved health. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., Ph.D., or Dr.P.H.) with expertise in global health. The successful candidate will have academic credentials to qualify for a tenure-track, or tenured, position in one of the college's five departments; Epidemiology, Environmental & Occupational Health, Behavioral Science & Health Education, Health Management & Policy, and Biostatistics. The successful candidate will also have an appointment in the new multi-disciplinary Institute for Global Health and Wellbeing. S/he should have a productive research record, demonstrated ability to secure external research funding, and outstanding teaching and mentoring skills. Primary responsibilities will include conducting independent research related to global health and maternal-child health, teaching and mentoring students, and providing professional and community service. Preference will be given to candidates with field experience in global health.
