FULL-TIME ASSOCIATE REGISTRAR:  (Haverhill Campus) Hours may include some evenings and weekends, particularly during peak periods: January/August & September (Non-Unit Professional Position).  Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2014.  Hiring Contingent on Available Budget Resources

The Associate Registrar will serve as a member of the One-Stop Student Services Team under the leadership of the College Registrar/Associate Dean of Enrollment Services. NECC is seeking an experienced professional to assist with all activities related to academic records, conferral of degrees, classroom scheduling, Clearinghouse reporting, Degree Works scribing, transfer equivalency, Banner Course Information and Banner upgrade testing. As a productive member of the College Registrar/Associate Dean’s Team, working to meet the goals of the department and the college as a whole, s/he will:

  • Provide leadership and supervision of all aspects of Transfer Records processing and evaluation.  This includes working collaboratively with the Academic Departments and the Dean of Transfer Articulation on evaluation of transfer credits.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a system for the evaluation and creation of transfer equivalency database
  • Evaluate and research course descriptions for transfer credit
  • Collaborate with 4-year college partners in supporting the Reverse Transfer Opportunities
  • Assist with the implementation, training, maintenance and use of SCT Banner, CollegeNET 25live, Degree Works
  • Assist with maintaining Banner and DegreeWorks course and degree requirements approved through the Academic Affairs Committee
  • Serve as NECCUM contact
  • Assist with all phases of graduation review process and ceremony planning
  • Supervise MCCC/MTA  unit professional staff and AFSCME unit classified staff

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred, and a minimum of two years’ experience in student support services in a college setting, preferably Registrar’s Office. Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and ability to work effectively with ethnic, cultural, socially diverse populations and a multi-campus environment. Familiarity with applications including Banner, Degree Works, CollegeNET and 25live. Demonstrated prior collaboration with other departments or divisions. Outstanding communication skills required, both verbal and written with strong interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. Advanced knowledge of technology as it relates to student information systems.

Salary: $40,938.00 - $81,056.00 with complete fringe benefits package. Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
