Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Grant Management, will assist with oversight of day-to-day grant activities, including providing reports, updating Project Directors/Coordinators and staff on deadlines and reporting requirements, processing invoices in timely and efficient manner and adhering to financial procedures in the college. Responsible for coordinating all grant finances, data collection and reports. Designs and prepares statistical and budget reports as requested. Manages project accounts; reviews and reconciles charges and forecasts balances.

This position will also have the primary responsibility for managing a $2.1 million sub-grant under the under the U. S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training Program.  50% of time will be devoted to this subcontract, and the other 50% to other grant management responsibilities as assigned.

Specific Duties:

  • Assist with development of proposals with specific responsibility for the development of budgets, in-kind budgets, and other fiscal information; participate in contract negotiation and budget modification process.
  • Set-up new accounts, track grant and in-kind expenditures, prepare and submit invoices for receipt of grant funds, and prepare and submit any required fiscal reports.
  • Meet with various college staff to discuss contractual obligations including program goals and objectives, fiscal matters, reporting requirements, and implementation and close-out procedures.
  • Prepare and submit requests to funding agencies for budget modifications, personnel changes, and/or changes in project objectives.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and effort certification reporting.
  • Prepare and monitor sub-contracts/sub-awards.
  • Research guidelines for new grants
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Three years of experience working with post-award management of grants.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel.
  • Highly proficient in the use of a financial software/budgeting package; DATATEL experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and challenging environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, pay attention to details, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
