Provides visionary leadership to advance the research mission of the College of Chiropractic and the University, provides oversight and direction for ongoing research and scholarly activities.
The dean of research serves as a liaison among the College of Chiropractic, University, clinical facilities, and extramural funding sources in matters related to research and scholarly activities.
Doctor of Chiropractic or earned research focused doctorate in a health science discipline and five years of graduate faculty experience in higher education in a health science related area; PhD and Doctor of Chiropractic preferred.
Excellent track record of peer-reviewed published output in health sciences.
Evidence of research leadership at various levels of academic career development.
Evidence of supportive leadership style with strong administrative skills to develop the college’s research agenda focusing on clinical application and outcomes.
Experience in the use of human and animal subjects in research preferred.
Ability to facilitate, mentor, and direct research and scholarly activities of faculty, staff, and students.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC.: Good public relations skills; supervisory skills and experience; documenting and recording proficiency; expert level knowledge of research methodology and health care/research terminology and practices.
