Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Cardiovascular Imaging
The Cardiovascular Institute and the Departments of Medicine and Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine are seeking a faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to join our Cardiovascular Imaging program. Applicants should have a strong interest in advancing research of new cardiovascular imaging methods, clinical trials, and/or comparative effectiveness/outcomes.
The position is for a full-time Medical Center Line (MCL) or University Tenure Line (UTL) faculty member. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the MCL shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic needs the individual is expected to fulfill. The predominant criterion for appointment in the UTL is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate is expected to have or develop an independently funded clinical/ translational research program centered on cardiovascular imaging and help with teaching activities in the School of Medicine. Appropriate resources will be made available to help the applicant build his/her research program.
It is desirable that applicants have an MD degree and are board certified (or eligible) in Cardiovascular Disease or Radiology. Advanced certification or training in cardiovascular imaging is also desirable. However, PhD applicants will also be considered.
