Required/Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Public Administration, Political Science, or closely-related social science discipline at the time of appointment. A strong record of scholarship and peer-reviewed publications and a strong record of university teaching are required.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching interests in one or more of the following areas: public administration and management; nonprofit administration; healthcare policy and administration; human resource management; state and local government administration; intergovernmental administrative problems; and public budgeting and finance. Preferred qualifications as to the candidate’s record of research, teaching, and service are a distinguished record of scholarship and peer-reviewed publications, of excellence in university teaching, of external grant funding, and of professional leadership. Expected record for the appointment is commensurate with that at leading, research-intensive universities.
