Responsibilities

This is a 60% (22.5/hr week) FTE position. Reporting to the Director of Learning and Organizational Effectiveness (DLOE), the Professional Development Coordinator assists with the efficient operation of the Learning and Organizational Development function by providing clerical and administrative support for training and other forms of professional development, collecting and analyzing relevant data, and assisting with administration of the College's online performance appraisal system for staff.  

1. Assist the DLOE with administration and implementation of professional development programs offered to staff and faculty throughout the year. Schedule rooms, equipment, and catering; prepare and disseminate workshop announcements, confirmation notices, and brochures; answer registration questions, manage contracts with outside vendors; maintain attendance records and statistics on participation patterns; assist with needs assessment strategies; compile evaluation feedback on training and other professional development offerings.

2. Develop system administrator expertise for the GAELPerform (Halogen) e-appraisal software. Answer user questions and troubleshoot problems faced by users; maintain regular updates of the Halogen User and Participant centers; assist with the design and delivery of tutorials for new and existing users; communicate with Halogen technical support to clarify issues and resolve problems; assist with statistical analysis of annual performance review outcomes; assist with collecting user feedback and implementing process improvements.

Provide administrative support for the College staff recognition strategy. Maintain records and convey information about recognition criteria and events; handle required forms, applications, nominations, disbursements, etc. as applicable.

3. Provide a full range of clerical and administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, typing meeting notes, preparing correspondence, proof-reading documents, developing tracking systems, processing stipends and contracts, maintaining files, and other administrative duties as assigned by the DLOE.

4. Maintain LOE and GAELPerform webpages; develop expertise in Salli (or other appropriate web-creation program); remove outdated information and replace with current descriptions of professional development opportunites; assist with layout and content improvements. 

5. Assist in conducting online and library research related to training content, professional development options, performance management, and other topics requested by the DLOE.

6. Provide the clerical and administrative duties in support of the Tier O and Tier 1 Servie Delivery roles and responsibilities. Provide HR administrative support and customer service related to Benefits, Recruitment, and other general HR front office duties. 

Other Duties As Assigned by the Director of Learning and Organizational Effectiveness. 


Experience and Qualifications:

Required: BA or Equivalent desired
Experience: 3+ Years of applicable experience

Other Skills/Abilities: Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Sofware system administration skills and/or administrative technical skills. Strong project management skills. Ability to organize information and tasks to ensure timely follow-through. Ability to work independently, while also seeking guidance as needed. Familiarity with Google applications and social media desirable.
