Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a tenure-track appointment in American politics, with a specialization in judicial politics, beginning August 2014. We are particularly interested in candidates with a research agenda exploring litigation and judicial hierarchy. Practical experience in the legal field is desirable. The appointment is at the level of Assistant Professor; PhD in Political Science required by August 2014. Candidates will teach courses in American constitutional law, civil liberties, judicial politics, and research methods, along with other graduate and undergraduate courses in American politics and institutions. The teaching load is 2/2.
The Department offers BA, MA, and MPA degrees. The department also collaborates with a variety of other programs throughout the university such as the Honors program, Women's Studies, and American Studies.
