Reporting to the Associate Dean of Graduate Business and Global Programs, the Associate Director of Career Services acts as the leader of this functional area for Graduate Business, develops a comprehensive career service strategy, and implements appropriate programs to provide career services for all Graduate Business Programs and acts as a liaison with SMC campus departments for all Graduate Business Programs career services.

The Associate Director also works closely with Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in SEBA to assist career-related programs for SEBA undergraduate students. 

Develop and assess career services strategy for all Graduate Business students. Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with corporations and other organizations to explore and develop potential job placement and internship opportunities. Provide personalized career advising to diverse set of Graduate Business students with differing needs at different career stages, including corporate management and executive level students. 

Manage existing career service programs, such as Career Beam, Lunch-n-Learn webinar, Professional Development Programs, GaelLink, as well as develop new programs and initiatives. Coordinates and collaborates with the SMC Career Development office to leverage resources and activities to advance career service opportunities for Graduate Business students.

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’ degree required, preferably in business, social science, or related field At least 3 plus years of significant professional experience in career services and related programs. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.  

Demonstrated excellence in using Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), including CRM software, email and internet usage.  

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and work in an organized manner.  

Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all members of a multi-culturally diverse campus community.  

Ability to work independently and as a team member.  

Occasionally evening and weekend event assignments including local travel as required to service our Graduate Business students and related work assignments.
